These vibrantly colored hand-crafted Stoles are woven with extra fabric in various Kente patterns, each with an associated meaning. Great for casual and formal wear. The nine squares represent MPUANKRON (nine tufts of hair) a ceremonial hair cut of some royal functionaries who help rulers make decisions. The cloth symbolizes participatory democracy and warning against autocratic rule. The stole is approximately 72 in. x 4.5 in. Individually handwoven in Ghana, West Africa.
